WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Qi Gong, often called the "mother of Tai Chi," is a low-impact practice combining breathwork, gentle movements, standing postures, and meditation. Rooted in ancient Chinese medicine, Qi Gong promotes stress release, increased vitality, and mental clarity.

In this workshop, you’ll learn about the heritage of Qi Gong and its health and wellbeing benefits. You'll be guided through a typical session, starting with warm-ups, light stretching, and flowing movements, followed by a short tea break, a key part of the practice to help integrate the benefits. The session concludes with a calming meditation, leaving you refreshed and centred. This workshop is suitable for all, including beginners and can be done from a chair if required

WHAT TO EXPECT

Gentle Warm-Up

Begin with simple exercises to loosen your body and awaken your senses. These movements help you settle into the practice and prepare both body and mind.

Stretch & Flow

Move through gentle stretches and flowing sequences suitable for all levels. The slow, mindful motions increase flexibility and encourage relaxation.

Breathwork Basics

Learn breathing techniques designed to calm the mind and energize the body. You’ll discover how breath connects with movement for maximum benefit.

Qi Gong Insights

Explore the rich history and principles behind Qi Gong. Understand how this practice supports overall health, wellbeing, and mental clarity.

Tea & Reflection

Enjoy a traditional tea break to pause and integrate what you’ve learned. This is also the perfect time to ask questions and deepen your understanding.

Meditation & Calm

End the session with a guided meditation to center your mind. You’ll leave feeling relaxed, focused, and revitalized.

YOUR TEACHER

Caroline is trained as a (Lee Holden Certified) Qi Gong instructor. She Completed her teacher training in 2022 & is continuing to train in more advanced practices, taking regular trips to California to train with Master Lee Holden in person.

 

Caroline's Qi Gong classes combine gentle flowing movements with breathwork, standing postures, visualisation & meditation. The overall effect is a beautiful combination of feeling both energised & calm, keeping you centred & grounded whatever the day holds.
