Floating Yoga Nidra

A hammock-supported guided relaxation. Float into deep rest

Class Description

Unwind at the end of the week with a deeply restful hammock-based Yoga Nidra session, held fortnightly on Friday evenings 7:30 - 8:30pm. This gentle class is designed to help you let go of the week, settle your nervous system, and ease into the weekend. You’ll be supported in a soft fabric hammock, allowing your body to fully relax while being guided through a soothing Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation). There is no movement or physical effort required. Once you’re comfortable in the hammock, you’ll simply rest and listen as you’re led through calming body awareness, breath, and imagery. Many people find this practice deeply nourishing, even if they struggle to relax or meditate in other settings. What to expect: - A warm, welcoming and unhurried atmosphere - Full-body support in a hammock - A guided Yoga Nidra lasting around 45 - 50 minutes - Time to arrive gently and re-ground before heading home - A sense of calm, clarity, and deep rest This session is suitable for complete beginners and those seeking: - Stress relief and nervous system regulation - Better rest and sleep - A gentle, sensory-friendly way to relax - A peaceful Friday evening ritual What to wear & what to bring This session is all about comfort and ease. You’re warmly invited to wear whatever helps you feel most relaxed — soft layers, cosy clothes, or even pyjamas if that feels right for you! You’re also welcome to bring along any comfort items that help you settle, such as: - A blanket for warmth - An eye mask or scarf to gently cover the eyes - Warm socks - A small cushion or neck support if you enjoy extra softness All optional but not essential — the hammocks provide full support You don’t need any prior yoga or meditation experience — rest is the practice. Each session stands alone, so you’re welcome to attend whenever it feels right for you. Come as you are, get comfortable, and allow yourself to be gently held as you float into the weekend
