Unlike deep tissue or remedial work, lymphatic drainage uses light pressure and specific directional strokes (rather than friction) to encourage efficient lymph movement without overstimulating fluid production. This can support immune function, reduce fluid retention, and promote a lighter, less “puffy” feeling. No oils are used in MLD.
May help with swelling/fluid retention, sluggish circulation, post-illness fatigue, fibromyalgia, stress-related inflammation, IBS and bloating, heaviness in limbs, general detox and wellbeing support (also used in some medical settings under guidance).
